Koneko to sakura

子猫と桜

My first ever watercolor portrait! This is a gift for my friend in Japan She told me her favorite animal was a cat, and cherry blossoms (sakura) are pretty big there, so voilà! The cherry blossoms are a bit iffy in this painting (if you ask me), but I think the kitten turned out quite well

As a side note, I'm going to start learning Japanese this fall (woohoo!) and I was quite proud that I could say 'kitten and cherry blossoms' in Japanese properly! (I of course checked online to see if I was correct lol) Go me!
